Bike Routes from Barrhaven

Barrhaven to Richmond and back 30k

An out and back with the Richmond bakery at the turn around point. Very  little traffic on most of the route except the small section on Eagleson. Very  good baking too!

North Gore 50k

This route is basically a loop. It starts out just like the ride to Richmond but continues on to North Gore. If you want to stop at the bakery you need to make a small detour. Again very little traffic expect for the small section on Roger Steven’s Dr. It’s flat but it can be windy.

Downtown via the Bike Path

This trip is primarily done on the NCC bike paths. Great for a nice easy ride but not really a training run. It’s a little over 50 km as a round trip. Stop for a swim at Britania Beach or Westbourgh, ride slowly along the bike path behind Parliament hill and appreciate the fact that we live in a great city!

Bike Routes from Bridlewood, Kanata

The following Routes all start in Bridlewood, Kanata. If you are starting from Barrhaven you can get to Twim Elm by going down Cedarview South of Barrhaven and crossing the 416 on Barnsdale which crosses Twin Elm. It’s about 12 km from Cedarveiw and Strandherd to Twin Elm. A special thanks to Dave Shaw who supplied all these routes.
