On Monday April 27, 2020 K2J Fitness started  to run across Canada in a virtual kind of way!

We will run the first 5000 km roughly following the route taken by Terry Fox in 1980. Sadly, he had to end his run in Thunder Bay but we will continue on to Victoria. The entire route will be a little over 8100 km.

April 27th: Newfoundland We started our run by dipping our feet in the Atlantic Ocean in the harbor in St John's Newfoundland. The trip across Newfoundland is 889.4 km. You have to take a ferry to Nova Scotia but you can run around the boat on the crossing. Total distance including the boat is 1069.97 km,

Total distance from our start in Saint John's to the New Brunswick/ Quebec boarder 2463.31 km. We arrived just before midnight on Friday May 1st. The run across Quebec is only 647.24 km because Terry Fox took a relatively direct route.
